just an observation

everyone’s talking about what’s wrong and wondering what to do….when the fact is, we all know what we have to do. and what we have to do, we can’t say; and in any case, most of us are too afraid of the likely outcome, at least the one that is reported in history books.

what does real, principled, open resistance look like? the sort of resistance that is true to the fundamental american ideals – hatred of tyranny and oppression, a passionate love of freedom and the rule of the people, a distrust of theocracy and monarchy, and a willingness to risk everything on behalf of these? and i mean risk EVERYTHING. not just your weekend or a few dollars’ donation to this or that.

the reason we are afraid is because they have done a very, very good job of scaring us with their threats. it’s what they’re best at. they’ve really elevated it to a fine art. advertising fear has been their crowning achievements. they’ve got that program running so smoothly it runs itself.

the story that is not told, but is accessible to all, is that though the war against tyranny and oppression is never done, significant battles have been won which are instructive to us today.

but the first thing YOU must do, RIGHT NOW, is DECIDE – something that the president has apparently cornered the market on until now.

great! you may find yourself saying. at last, a concrete action someone is telling me to take! i’ve been waiting for this for seven years! twenty seven years! my whole life!! but………what is it?

DON’T LET THEM MAKE YOU AFRAID.

make a promise to yourself. I WILL NOT LET THEM MAKE ME AFRAID – of terrorists, of “protest warriors”, of being disappeared – steal their slogan: DON’T BE AFRAID. BE READY.
